What’s in a Letter?

It started with a letter. It was a warm Tuesday morning at APF and we were checking the letterbox like we do every Tuesday morning. As we were sorting through the letters, we were perplexed to receive a letter from the South Dakota State University to unknown addressee. It wasn’t until one of our staff members were clued into the discussion, did they recall the elusive mystery recipient. A light-bulb moment occurred when our staff member realised the recipients family were a long-term member of the same sporting club, even putting alongside the mystery addressee from time to time.

What are the chances of a letter arriving at APF’s offices, which share the same street name as the intended addressee.

Next, it was time for the APF team to spring into action to track down the mystery recipient which, due to the team’s vast knowledge of the Adelaide area, was not a difficult task. As it turns out the relatives of the mystery recipient also shared a street name with APF. After the letter was hand returned to its thankful owner, upon which it was divulged to the team that the letter contained vital information regarding a scholarship. What are the chances of a letter arriving at APF’s offices, which share the same street name as the intended addressee, and whose staff just happen to share a sporting connection to the recipient? A domino of coincidences had befallen the APF that Tuesday morning and by some form of destiny we were able to track down and deliver the letter to its rightful owner and the wonderful news encased inside.
